A Financial Look-back: What Worked & What Do You Want More of Next Year?

As we close out another year, let’s take a quick look-back at what worked for us in 2024!

After all, where we cast our focus determines the circumstances and behaviors of our financial lives, and our circumstances reflect the thoughts, beliefs, and feelings we hold as our personal truths.

For example, when we exist within a scarcity mindset, that’s what we continue to experience. When we focus on what’s actually working, that’s where we create reception to the abundance of what it is we want. 

By taking a look to recognize what worked, and why it worked, we can keep our money-moves trending in the direction of our goals!

Review Your 2024 Money Goals

What did you set out to do? What was it you wanted to see happen with your money when you started the year?

What Worked?

What methods did you use that kept you on track? What tools did you use? Free apps like Envy can be great at simulating “the envelope system” for tracking spending in real time. The beloved free budgeting app, Mint, shut down earlier this year. This is a list of highly rated alternatives.

Where Did You See the Most Change?

If what area of your financial life did you see the biggest positive changes? Did you bring in extra Income? Did your Savings increase? Were you able to be more intentional around Spending?

What Kept You Motivated?

As with any goal, identifying your WHY is foundational to making the plan sustainable. Your WHY aligns with your values. When you’re not in line with your values, you’re acting our of integrity and destined to run amuck.
